Haunt on Eden started four years ago when I came home to find a separate house being built on my front lawn. My husband, Jeff, had always said he wanted to build a haunted house...I just hadn't realized he was serious. Year one was fun. A small haunt, though it was, we were surprised to have about 300 people come through. When it was all said and done, we realized we had something special. And so we decided...year two was inevitable.

Year two was a big step up. We knew what to expect, and even more, we had a vision of what could be. "The Asylum"...a theme that was creepy without even trying. One of our biggest accomplishments was building a working elevator in the haunt...in the "lobby" that went down to the "basement". This year we had an entire backstory attached to the haunt. "Rellik" was our main character, supported by a host of other, unfortunate characters. A bigger haunt and more actors brought a much bigger crowd each night. When the season was over, we had had an excess of 500 people. Even on nights when it rained, people came and lined our sidewalk, waiting for their turn. We also had a great article in a local newspaper..."Get Ready to Be Scared", the headline read. We were definitely gaining a following.

| Here we are in year 3. The haunt is bigger than ever and we are excited to see how our fanbase has grown! We have a larger footprint of the haunt, for sure. Year 3 is "Home Sweet Horror" and we are building this home with lots of love...of terror and gore. We are still in the building stages, but over the next few weeks, it will come to life. |
